DW - Breaking World News App Reviews

Great live feed, even better with Apple TV.

I was hoping this app would have all the TV shows that I can watch on the DW website. Turns out, its just news, news and more news.

Why so big differences between the iPhone version and iPad, in the iPad version I can not find Dari language while we are able to find it in iPhone version. I hope you will consider it at next update of this application , otherwise I will remove this application from my iPad. Thank you.

I used to be able to watch and listen in the german language, but it won’t open anymore in german, only in english. My question is why?

There is no sound in app.

There is no new content available while refreshing. And its lasting more than 2 days.

There are some positive features to this new version, but overall its a step backwards. The number of available sections and articles is ridiculously small, you cannot do searches, livefeed and videos cannot be played via AirPlay on the AppleTV anymore. Had I known it would be so bad, I would have never updated!

Where is the streaming radio content? All is see are videos, and even those cannot be viewed with the German language. I selected "Deutsch" in the language settings, but this apparently only changed the text of written articles. I miss the German streaming radio!

Sound doesnt work on live streaming

Same problem others mentioned: no German, even when you choose German as your default language. Zero points!

1.How is it possible that all the video offered is only in English? Even that which was originally filmed in German is dubbed into English!!! 2. Why is there no audio-only content? Theirs video, but (duh....) its not suited for people occupied with driving, work, etc. I KNOW Deutsche-Welle produces a lot of audio content (its on the website!), so why isnt it available here? 3. Make GERMAN audio and video content available, please! Isnt DW financed via the German taxpayer? Shouldnt they be helping spread German language and culture? Agh. Very disappointing.

Seriously? I can deal with it dubbed in English ( but I do suggest that you fix that ) but what I cant stand is that it keeps telling me it that this part of the show is not allowed on the Internet! Are you really going to try to make us to either spend money we dont have so we can watch everything on tv or we have to endure it telling us that we cant watch half the shows on the Internet!

No sound in live streaming. This version is useless.

Some reviewers have whined that the app doesnt have language versioning--but it does. They havent taken the trouble to explore the app before complaining. Look for the blue setting button in the upper right... 1) choose your language preference, 2) choose your channel origin, 3) refresh the content. Deutsche Welle is the greatest!

I read the articles here in two languages. It cant be my only source for news and analyses but it complements other news apps I have. Suggestion for developers: Please add the "back" button to the end of the articles. This way, we dont have to scroll all the way up to find it, after reading the articles.

Crashes so often! Sometimes hard to get through a single story without restarting app 2 or 3 times. Really frustrating. Love the content but app is SO buggy.

I wish it could stream audio in multitasking mode. When I use another app, the streaming cuts.
